The Mega Fern is the most common item in the Minecraft Kart series, making its debut in the Playstation 3 exclusive game, Minecraft Kart 1: Super Minecraft Kart. It grows the player to be twice their size. It is found in every course and is acquired from 1st to 12th place. Something similar to it is the Giga Mushroom, but that powerup makes the player even bigger, makes the player four times their size and is acquired from 4th to 12th place. It's opposite counterpart is the Mini Fern, which miniaturizes the player to half their size. Instead of playing the Mega Mushroom music from New Super Mario Bros., it plays Mario Kart Wii's Starman music, just like in Super Minecraft Bros. 3.
